Juicy Lucy Burger

A Chicago-classic: The juicy lucy, stuffed with white American cheese, this burger is not for the faint of heart!

PREP: 10 min. ACTIVE: 10 min. DIFFICULTY Easy

Ingredients:

  • 2 Pre 1/3 lb. burger patties
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 slices white American cheese
  • 2 sesame buns
Additional Toppings: 
  • Lettuce
  • Sliced tomatoes
  • Pickles
  • Red onion, sliced thin
  • Ketchup
  1. Pre-heat the grill to medium high heat.
  2. Pat each burger patty dry on all sides with a paper towel.
  3. Season each patty with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  4. Slice each burger patty in half lengthwise.
  5. Cut 2 slices of cheese into quarters.
  6. Place 4 quarters of cheese on 2 of the halves.
  7. Gently press the remaining burger halves on top, sandwiching the cheese in the middle and pressing the sides together.
  8. Lay the patties on the grill and cook to desired doneness.
  9. Top with extra cheese and your favorite toppings. Enjoy!
