Filet Mignon or Petite Sirloin with Crumbled Blue Cheese and Balsamic Sauce
The tender and mild filet mignon gets a sweet, tangy topping for all around taste ecstacy. Easy and impressive.
Ingredients:
- 2 Pre Filet Mignon or Petite steaks
- 1 ½ cups balsamic vinegar
- 3 tbsp. sugar
- 2 tbsp. butter
- salt
- pepper
- blue cheese
- Boil 1 ½ cups of balsamic vinegar and 3 tablespoons of sugar over medium-high heat until reduced to 1/3 cup, stirring occasionally for about 16-18 minutes.
- Preheat broiler. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in large skillet over medium-high heat. Sprinkle steaks with salt and pepper. Cook steaks for 3-4 minutes per side (medium rare), or preferred doneness.
- Crumble cheese over steaks and broil until cheese melts for about one minute.
- Sprinkle with pepper and drizzle balsamic over steaks.
