Classic Ground Beef Burger
Everyone needs a classic burger recipe. And this one's yours.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb. Pre 85% Lean Ground Beef, room temperature
- 1 tsp. salt
• 1 tsp. garlic powder
• 3-4 slices cheddar cheese
• 1 tomato, sliced
• 3-4 green lettuce leaves
• 3-4 hamburger buns
• Optional toppings: aioli, ketchup, mustard, relish
- Heat a skillet to medium-high heat
- In large bowl, season ground beef with salt and garlic powder. Form into either three 1/3 lb. patties of four 1/4 lb. patties. Make an indent into the center of each patty with your thumb.
- Place the patties into the skillet, thumb print side down. Leave for four minutes and flip. Top cooked side with cheese and leave for four more minutes or cooked to desired doneness.
- Assemble burgers with tomato, lettuce, onion, and any other toppings you would like. Enjoy!
- Get the kids involved by encouraging them to measure seasonings and roll patties while you chop the vegetables. While the burgers cook on the stovetop, kids can prepare a buffet-style condiments and toppings station.
